Character: Desiree Kitsugi

Desiree Kitsugi thought that, with an actual name, something more than just numbers, she was one of the humans, despite the circuits that snaked under her “skin”, and the abilities she was given such as enhanced speed, combat, and the formidable wave motion blast. But the monitor before her revealed the contents of the confidential file. AIs are meant to be servants to humankind and Desiree, a mindless weapon. Desiree’s mind raced, her hands trembled but, she took a breath and calmed herself into a state of serenity and focus. I will do whatever it takes, she thought, to put my technological brethren on top; above the humans.
