Character Portrait: Yunoshi

Writing Commission, Character portrait: Yunoshi

Up in the mountains above a farming town and neighboring imperial city of Fukoshi, is a shack. It’s sole inhabitant, Yunoshi, sits on the floor before a cold fireplace. Outside her window, icicles drip in the warming sun, the sunlight illuminating the stone floor before her bare feet. Yunoshi wears a black hakama, top and, a white fur wrap. Her magenta hair drapes to the floor in a long ponytail. She flinches as a knock echoes from her front door. Is it a traveler? She had stolen a sack of salted fish the other night. One person might be fine but a crowd causes trouble for her uncontrollable instincts. Her nails begin to extend into claws, a dull pain in her head is her arctic fox ears growing to perk up. Her teeth strain, readjusting and growing into canines, bringing tears to her eyes.

This is a short piece about Alphabeastsigma’s character, Yunoshi, for a writing commission.
